What is covered under a portable storage and hard drive warranty?

A portable storage and hard drive warranty typically covers unexpected mechanical and electrical failures after the manufacturer's warranty ends.

Does the warranty cover external hard drives and portable SSDs?

Yes. SureBright Anywhere covers eligible external hard drives, portable SSDs, USB flash drives, NAS devices, and other portable storage products from major brands.

My external hard drive isn't being recognized. Is that covered?

It can be. If your computer can't recognize the drive because of an internal mechanical or electrical failure, the repair or replacement is covered. If the problem is caused by software, corrupted data, or another non-hardware issue, it isn't.

Does the warranty recover lost files or data?

No. SureBright Anywhere protects the storage device itself, not the files stored on it. If the drive fails, the hardware may be repaired or replaced, but lost data isn't covered. We always recommend keeping regular backups of important files.

Are parts and labor included with covered repairs?

Yes. Covered repairs include both eligible parts and labor, so you won't pay separately for the repair itself.

Does the warranty cover power surge damage?

Yes. Eligible damage caused by a power surge is covered under the standard protection plan.

What brands are covered under this warranty?

What happens if my storage device can't be repaired?

Does the warranty cover overheating caused by a mechanical or electrical failure?

Yes. If an internal mechanical or electrical failure causes your storage device to overheat or stop working, SureBright Anywhere helps cover the repair or replacement.
