What does a range hood warranty cover?
A SureBright Protection Plan helps cover eligible mechanical and electrical breakdowns after the manufacturer's warranty expires. This includes fan and blower motor failures, electronic control board failures, integrated LED lighting modules, internal damper mechanisms, switch and speed control failures, plus power surge damage from the date of enrollment.
Does the warranty cover a burned-out fan motor?
Yes. Fan motor failure is one of the most common range hood claims, and it's covered as a mechanical breakdown once the manufacturer's warranty has expired, provided the unit's filters and maintenance have been kept up per the manufacturer's guidelines.
My hood's touch panel stopped responding. Is that covered?
It depends on the cause. If the touch panel or electronic control board has suffered a covered electrical hardware failure after the manufacturer's warranty expires, it's covered. Software, firmware, or configuration issues aren't covered.
Does the warranty cover LED and halogen lighting on the hood?
Integrated LED lighting modules and the internal electrical components that power them are covered when they fail because of a covered electrical breakdown. Replaceable light bulbs may be considered routine maintenance and aren't typically covered.
Does the warranty cover ducted and ductless hoods equally?
Yes. Coverage applies to under-cabinet, chimney, island, downdraft, ducted, ductless, and convertible range hoods from any U.S. retailer. A protection plan from SureBright Anywhere is not based on the configuration of your range hood.
My hood is over an island, not against a wall. Does that matter?
No. Wall-mounted, under-cabinet, island-mounted, and downdraft hoods are all covered under the same standard plan. Mount type doesn't affect eligibility.
Does the warranty cover premium brands like Zephyr, Wolf, and Vent-A-Hood?
Yes. Coverage isn't restricted by manufacturer. SureBright Anywhere covers range hoods from all major brands including Broan, Bosch, GE, KitchenAid, Zephyr, Wolf, Thermador, Vent-A-Hood, Zline, and Cosmo.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes and you get a full refund if you cancel within the first 30 days. Beyond that, you get a pro-rated refund.
What happens if it cannot be repaired?
If repair isn't possible or economical, you'll receive a replacement hood of comparable specifications or a reimbursement.
Can I add coverage to a hood I bought a couple of weeks ago?
